Artistas de Loisiada Los Artistas de Loisaida is a multicultural group of painters, photographers, printmakers and sculptors, many of whom create work, inspired by New York's community gardens. The group presents "Life, In A Time of Decadence", their Ninth annual exhibition at the Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center. This year's show portrays contrasts between the differing realities of our society. The exhibition offers artists’ visual reflections upon the present urban climate of uneven disparities that coexist within our common sphere. The artists’ images of urban landscapes and life juxtaposed against the images of landscapes, nature in close-up, and human celebrations of hope and renewal, evoke the vivid imaginations and phoenix-like creativity of New Yorkers of all walks of life, and therefore should be on view at Lincoln Center, the cultural Mecca where so many art forms are fostered and enjoyed. The reception is from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2005.
