My goal is to honor their journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube alignwide wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"They Survived Together\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Q23GDlsbUM8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignright is-style-default\" style=\"border-color:#0073a8\"><blockquote class=\"has-text-color has-light-gray-color\"><p><em>Tax Deductible Donations <\/em><\/p><cite><em>\u00a0 ~ Email me for info:\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"mailto:JohnRokosny@gmail.com\">JohnRokosny@gmail.com<\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I want to create a film that will tell the story of one family, in their own words, as a voice for every family who went through this atrocity \u2013 and to honor those who survived, and remember, with deep reverence, those who did not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I want to share this story so it will never be forgotten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/TheySurvivedTogether\">Go Fund Me Page<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey Survived Together\u201d is a story of endurance, unity and hope.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey Survived Together \u201d is the incredible, true story of&nbsp;the survival of the Neiger family, as they desperately try to stay together as a family while&nbsp;escaping the&nbsp;Nazi invasion of Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Neigers were living a peaceful life in a tight-knit Jewish community in Krakow when the arrival of World War II changed their life forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Nazi soldiers forced the Neiger family from their home and into the harsh life of the Ghetto, they made a vow to escape together and survive as a family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family was able to stick together, from their daring escape from the Ghetto, through arduous treks through snow-covered mountains, to illegal border crossings, and brutal work camps.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But when circumstances forced the family to separate from their older brother Ben, the family\u2019s will to survive was put to the test. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Siblings Cesia, Benjamin, Hanka, Basia, and Tosia remained together as a family well into thier senior years, supporting each other while dealing with the horrors of the memory of the Holocaust. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This film tells their story, in their words, from their hearts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are seeking funding to finish the production phase of &#8220;They Survived Together&#8221;. &nbsp;We will &nbsp;continue to interview the siblings and relatives, film family gatherings and events. We will organize and catalogue historical footage and photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are so fortunate to have this first-hand account of their incredible journey. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our mission is educational &#8211; to create a film that will tell the true story of one family, in their own words, as a voice for every family who went through this atrocity \u2013 and to honor those who survived, and remember, with deep reverence, those who did not.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The film is intended for screenings in Jewish institutions, schools and museums, to preserve this true family story of the Holocaust.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As soon as I met the Neiger family, and heard their incredible story, I knew I had to make this film.
